Are you a middle or high school educator who is witnessing male students underperforming in within your classroom? Have you felt challenged with effectively engaging male youth who are chronically tardy or disruptive within the class? By the end of the school year, do you notice a huge academic achievement gap between male students and female students? If so, we invite you to attend this “Taking Off the Mask” workshop for educators.
Ever Forward Club presents a transformative workshop designed for educators who are ready to unpack hidden barriers to greater educational success within the classroom. Educators will be guided through a two hour journey filled with effective processes that provides a safe space for exploring authentic connections to themselves, their colleagues and the youth they work with. Educators will also cultivate a deeper understanding of youth who are specifically at risk of dropping out and support with ways to assist them.
Ever Forward Club is a Bay Area nonprofit, which aims to address the underlying causes of dropouts, the growing achievement gap of inner city youth, and youth violence in a preventive manner by providing youth with a safe place to receive emotional support, build character, and heal by letting go of the baggage and trauma that they carry.

More about Ever Forward:
Ever Forward Club, began in 2004 at San Lorenzo High School with 8 young men who were ready for a change in their lives. Ashanti Branch, a 9th grade math teacher, was frustrated by how males were failing his course, and began creating weekly gatherings support to support them. Over a decade later, Ashanti has successfully assisting thousands of male youth in taking off the masks preventing them from graduating, through reinforcing their emotional tool box and dedicated mentorship. Ever Forward Club has offered "Taking Off the Mask" workshops and established clubs in middle and high schools throughout Alameda county, including some throughout the nation.
