Taking Care: creating a self-directed movement ritual to nourish body and mind

This workshop is for anyone interested in spending some time moving, breathing, studying, or meditating at home without the guidance of a teacher every single time. You do not need any experience with yoga to take this workshop. You do not need any supplies except your body and a quiet space.

This workshop will take 90 minutes and is held virtually on Zoom. You will be given access to the recording afterwards, even if you can't attend the live workshop. We will cover:

1. The limits of guided classes and the benefits of a self-directed practice

2. How, when, and if to incorporate group classes and/or private instruction when you have a self-directed practice

3. Setting up your space and introducing ritual to your routine

4. Connecting with intuition and your own inner teacher

5. How to approach movement based on your needs, and some safe movements to incorporate into your own practice

6. Q&A

You do not need to book private sessions with a teacher to have a successful self-directed practice, but some individuals might find it useful to check in every so often. People who attend Taking Care will receive a lifetime 25% discount on private sessions with me. Private sessions can be used as consults to discuss injuries and goals, and to learn movements you can incorporate during your self-directed practice.
