Event description

Description

History Fair offers an exploration of the "Taking a Stand" theme by focusing on women and politics, both electoral and radical women's groups and issues. Prof Jennifer Brier begins the session with a talk on her latest work, "HIV Women, Migration, and the Welfare State" and the day moves into the UIC special collections for discovery of topics and sources, sharing, and working on developing argument templates. See also excerpts from "She's Beautiful When She's Angry." Lunch and readings provided.
