Take Me Out to the Ball Game: Katie Casey and Our National Pastime
During this historic campaign of the first female major party nominee for President, join us for an interactive cafe program on the surprising links between baseball, women's suffrage, and music, presented by The Red Skies Music Ensemble through their unique performance model of “Public Musicology.” See artifacts from early twentieth century women's suffrage, baseball, and the music that connects and illuminates them. Sing along to suffrage anthems and other famous hits of the era, including the seldom sung full verses of the iconic baseball song itself.
