About this Event

Website | Facebook | Video

Described as "a powerhouse Celtic band" (Boulder Weekly), Take Down the Door hearkens the old Irish tradition of taking the door off its hinges and throwing it down on a dirt cottage floor when it was time for a party. Based in Lyons, Colorado, this high energy quintet features former Gaelic-Storm fiddler Jessie Burns, bassist Eric Thorin (Matt Flinner Trio, Jeff Austin Band), Colorado's foremost Celtic fiddle and guitar duo Adam Agee and Jon Sousa, and singer/percussionist Beth Gadbaw, described by Irish Music Magazine as "exceptional". Take Down the Door hits hard with killer musicianship and masterful arrangements. The band's foot-stomping, heart-stopping, wide-open sound reflects its name and its natural habitat.
