Come join us for a powerful evening as we unite to raise awareness about violence against women. This march and rally is a safe space for everyone to come together, share stories, and support each other. Together, we can make a difference and work towards a safer community for all. Let's shatter the silence and Take Back The Night!

Free cowbells, noise markers, glow sticks, and whistles will be available before the march.

There will be a limited number of pre-made signs available but feel free to bring your own!

Frequently asked questions

Can anyone attend?

Yes! We invite people of all ages and genders to participate, with a special call to men and male-identifying allies to stand in solidarity—because the fight against gender-based violence cannot be fought alone.

What is the itinerary for the night?

We will start off by meeting at the W.I.S.H. center, then marching loudly through downtown Chatham, returning to the W.I.S.H center for a rally about standing against gender-based violence, there will be hors d'oeuvres, speeches, door prizes and an opportunity to converse with others at the event.

Will I get a free T-shirt if I attend?

T-shirts are first come first serve while supplies last. In a variety of sizes and in black or white. The shirts are marked with our theme for Take Back The Night "Shatter the Silence".

What affect would I have by showing up?

Showing collective support for the community and those affected by gender-based violence makes more of an impact than you think. We are also encouraging members of the city council, the mayor, and other impactful members of the community to support this protest against gender-based violence.

Will there be live music?

Yes! At the W.I.S.H. Center after the march there will be live music, speakers, small food and drinks for free.

Will there be door prizes?

Yes! Just by attending the event you will be entered into the raffle for door prizes.
