Take Action SC 'Unconference' Experience

SC DHEC and Take Action SC will be hosting the annual environmental educators summer workshop with an 'unconference' experience in the morning and learning labs in the afternoon to help you find ways to integrate environmental lessons into your everyday teaching. This years’ experience will include:

Keynote Speaker - Kirkland Smith, artist who has been creating contemporary assemblages using everyday disposable materials as an evocative way to drive home the message of the importance of reducing, reusing, and recycling.

Unconference ? It's a workshop driven by attendees. There is no pre-set agenda and includes idea-sharing that creates a space for peer-to-peer learning. Great networking opportunity with “Action” partners and other educators.

All participants will receive lunch plus a copy of "Action for a cleaner tomorrow" curriculum supplement, a Take Action SC Tervis tumbler, a Take Action SC multi-recycler bin, a motherboard clipboard as well as other teacher prizes throughout the day.

Take Action SC workshop admission will be a non-refundable $10 registration fee that includes lunch, all activities and classroom materials.
