Description: Return to the roots of taiko drumming! In this seven-week class, students will learn a variety of hitting techniques, rhythms, and movements through the study of two pieces at the core of the taiko phenomenon: Osuwa Daiko’s "Hiryu Sandan Gaeshi" and "Isami Goma." The class will include supplementary practice videos, and for the final two classes on June 2 and 9, students will have the opportunity to meet in-person, outdoors and distanced, to practice and play together.
Schedule: Meets every Wednesday from April 28 through June 9, 2021 from 6:00 - 7:00 p.m.
