Description: The TECC/RTF program is based on best practices from the Committee on Tactical Emergency Casualty Care (Co-TECC); the Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) program and the Inter Agency Board, Active Shooter/Hostile Event (ASHE) Guide.
This 16-hour course covers topics designed to decrease preventable death from incidents as a result of Active Shooter and Hostile Events but may also be applied to all mass casualty incidents. Topics covered include: Triage; Medical Concepts; Hemorrhage Control; Airway Interventions; Drags and Carries and RTF Movement Techniques in a tactical environment. Learning will be evaluated and reinforced with Full Emersion Exercises; Table Top Exercises and a Final Scenario structured to manage resources effectively from Tactical through Command levels. Participants will be provided useful job aids and upon completion will receive TECC certification from NAEMT.
