Tackling Twitter is a four-hour workshop designed to teach you how to take advantage of Twitter - the fastest growing and most influential form of social media. The workshop will teach you HOW to tweet, WHAT to tweet, and most importantly, WHY you should be tweeting. You'll learn the specifics of twitter culture, as well as how to navigate the various Twitter interfaces (Twitter.com, Tweetdeck, and other softwares). You'll learn how to use Twitter to network, market, and develop an audience for your brand and/or content; i.e., develop followers. You will harness the power of Twitter!
GUEST SPEAKER. In addition, casting director CAROLINE LIEM will be on hand to for a no-holds-barred Q&A. Ask her anything about the casting process, behind the scenes info, audition tips and tools, and how to use these social media tools to create and maintain relationships with other industry professionals.

RON BUTLER wrote, produced, directed, and starred in "Modern U.S. President" which now has over 2 million hits on YouTube. This lead to a development relationship with Norman Lear and Act III productions, which helped him produce "The Photographs of Your Junk" - a social satire piece that his just been accepted into it's third film festival. In regular workshops and consulting, he successfully coaches other creatives on how to use Twitter and YouTube to gain visibility and extend their "brand". He is an adjunct faculty member of the Atlantic Theater Company and appears regularly on the hit tween sitcom "True Jackson, V.P."
CAROLINE LIEM has consistently collaborated with some of the top directors and producers on over 50 feature films, television shows, pilots, new media and high level video games. Some of her credits: Beverly Hills Chihuahua 3, Silent Witness, X2, and Blade Trinity. At Disney Studios she enjoyed working in both their feature and television casting departments overseeing such projects as Gone In Sixty Seconds, Pearl Harbor, 102 Dalmatians, and Gangs of New York.
