Inverclyde Alliance extends a warm invitation to 'Tackling Stigma: Inverclyde's Movement for Change', which will take place on Thursday 1st December from 9.30am to 4.00pm in The Beacon Arts Centre, Greenock.
The main purpose of the event is to gather views on what actions are needed in our communities to be taken forward by communities, ensuring there is a human rights approach to tackling stigma and discrimination.
To help with this, we will be joined by Chris Creegan, Chief Executive of the Scottish Commission for Learning Disability and Chair of the of the Board of Trustees at the Scottish Association for Mental Health (SAMH), as our keynote speaker. Cathy Asante from the Scottish Human Rights Commission will also join us.
There will be opportunities for delegates to provide their views and take part in a range of workshops that focus on local showcasing activities, the Wellness Recovery Action Planning (WRAP), Recovery and Stigma, Dementia Stigma, Hate Crime and Advance Statements.
Book your place at this FREE event here and be part of this important work and more importantly be a part of this movement for change!
