Event description

Description

"The problem of the twentieth century is the problem of the color-line." ~Dr. WEB Dubois

In the Twenty-First Century, race, still a leading problem, is also one that we have not learned to discuss as adults, but the students in America's schools are teaching us how to do it, and sometimes at too grave of a cost for them.

Join the Technical Assistance Center on Disproportionality (TACD) for our 2018 Summer Institute, along with New York University's Metropolitan Center for Research on Equity and the Transformation of Schools (Metro Center), as we have solutions-driven conversations and present engaging, thought-provoking workshops that will address our theme, DISPROPORTIONALITY: RACE, POLICY, AND JUSTICE.

  • The experts will be impressive.

  • The conversations will be stimulating.

  • The conference will alter current beliefs, policies, and practices used in schools for the better.

You do not want to miss this institute!
