About this event

TAB ALL Arts Summer Camp works with children ranging in ages from 8-18 to teach them about the theater and film industry. All participants get FREE breakfast and lunch sponsored by Guilford County School Nutrition Program. This program is usually for 4-5 weeks and begins in early July.

Children (8-11) work with a creative writing coach, acting coach, and set designer to create an original screenplay. All participants are given a "theme" to develop their ideas for their play (e.g. the future, covid, being a new kid, etc.) The set designer helps them create items for their set, the acting coach teaches them how to perform on stage and the creative writer assists them in organizing their thoughts to create a cohesive play.

Teens (12-18) work with a creative writing coach, an acting coach and a filmmaker to create an original film. All students are given a theme, in which they write a short film led by the creative writing coach, they learn to perform in front of the camera by the acting coach and they learn how to film and work behind the camera while working with the film instructor to record, edit and add audio to the film.

Participants perform both on the last day of the camp
