Symposium: Making the Case for Creative Health in Medway

The symposium will bring together researchers, practitioners and local stakeholders to consider how we go about ‘making the case’ for creative health in Medway beyond the current Arts Council Creative Health Place Partnership programme. We will consider:

· cutting edge research from elsewhere that has explored different models of evidence and frameworks for embedding creative health practice in localities

· practices around evaluation and the value of asset-based approaches

· how artists and researchers involved with the Medway programme consider the evidence base we currently have and how we might plan for the sustainability of these practices locally, in terms of evidence but also resourcing and governance

The symposium will include presentations from guest speakers who are experts in creative health followed by a panel discussion. Lunch and refreshments will be provided. Paid parking is available nearby, and Chatham train station is a 10-15 minute walk.
