About this event

Symposium Description

The COVID-19 pandemic has disproportionately impacted historically disadvantaged communities due to pre-existing inequities in the healthcare system and disparities in access to technology, healthcare, and social services. Addressing these disparities will require cross-sector strategies and interdisciplinary coordination from advocates, practitioners, policymakers and researchers examining the health, education, environmental justice, social and behavioral sciences, law and technology implications of the pandemic. This symposium will showcase diverse perspectives to provide a holistic view of the pandemic’s impact on health and the consequences of inequity that we will all be working to address well into the future.

This event is organized by three affinity groups of the American Association for the Advancement of Science Science & Technology Policy Fellowships (AAAS STPF). For more details about this symposium and its organizers, please visit our website by clicking here.
