Event Details

The White Rabbit Gallery looks forward to seeing you at 11:00am on Saturday, April 28, 2012 for Slow Art Day.

Devoted to the best of contemporary Chinese art, the White Rabbit Collection definitely rewards slow viewing. If you pause for long enough for "the artwork to breathe", as Gallery Director Judith Neilson describes, you'll realise a land where garbage trucks are made from wood, stonemason's tools are painstakingly carved from granite and an ATM hides a secret set of lungs.

Below are listed the five pieces of art that we will look at, so please print this out and bring it with you for Slow Art Day.

Please feel free to bring notepads if you would like to take notes or sketch, or a camera if you would like to take some photos. Our gallery attendants will be on hand to help if you have any questions.

After we spend some slow time exploring the magical world of our current exhibition, Down the Rabbit Hole, we'll meet up at the Teahouse downstairs, so we can together discuss the art and the wonderful experience of slow looking.

In the meantime, if you have any questions about Slow Art Day, please don't hesitate to contact us on (02) 8399-2867.
