The first Sydney DevSecOps Meetup EVER! During the event, we will introduce the event founder and host Matthew Flannery, where he will share some of the motivation behind why the Sydney DevSecOps Meetup is needed, and how as a community we can grow to develop a better understanding of Security within SDLC and production systems. For this exciting launch event, we have organised free food and drinks, as well as two exceptional speakers:

Scott Coulton

Bio: Scott Coulton is a solutions architect with over 10 years of experience in the managed services and hosting space. While his primary professional experience lies within rolling out systems and network solutions, he has a keen interest in a wide variety of technologies including AWS, Puppet, Docker and Linux - with his core strengths being in cloud computing, containers, automation and security. Scott has given presentations in the past showing how Docker containers can be broken out of to compromise the underlying host.

Bio: Experienced Information Security Professional who is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Cisco Certified Networking Professional (CCNP), with nearly 15 years of information technology experience. Self-starter and capable of effectively functioning with minimum supervision. Known for taking initiative and skilled at meeting challenges and deadlines. A team player who is attentive to detail and produces quality results. Experience with customers from diverse industry verticals such as Banking and Finance, Insurance, BPOs, Govt., Manufacturing etc. across ANZ, SEA, Japan and India region.
