About this event
The Van Rensselaers of Cherry Hill are elite among the ranks of old Albany’s blue-blood families—but when financial crisis strikes the Gilded Age household, it is clear that things are not as they seemed.
An environmentally immersive theater project, “Swept Clean” will bring audiences into intimate encounter with the past through the authentic setting of Cherry Hill and a script—written by Dr. Krysta Dennis—based on the manuscript holdings of the museum. Swept Clean is directed by Janet Hurley Kimlicko and produced by NorthEast Theatre Ensemble. Costume design by Brittney Belz.
Swept Clean was made possible with funding from The Hudson River Valley National Heritage Area and Humanities New York.
For the health & safety of our volunteers, staff, & patrons: We are following the latest recommendations from the CDC and NYS Department of Health. Masks will be required for visitors inside of the historic house.
The play will take place in rooms throughout the historic house. Along the way, guests will be led up and down two flights of stairs. Please be prepared for walking and standing, and wear comfortable shoes.
