Sweet & Sour Valentine's Day Comedy Show

About this Event

Do you LOVE Valentine’s Day? Sticky sweet, lovestruck, SO cute and all googly-eyed mushiness?

Or do you HATE Valentine’s Day? Sourpuss, eye-rolling, don’t-get-me-started-on-couples, can’t stand this capitalist holiday?

Whatever camp you belong to, THIS is the show for you. We will celebrate love and roast the holiday that brings it to us on a candy-red, heart-shaped platter. At your service are two of the funniest comics to hit the stage together: Melissa Douty and Mike Brown. So, bring your boo, your bestie, your boss, your baby (18+ please) and let's do this!

Meet Your Performers

Melissa Douty is very personable with an almost ‘Aw, shucks’ delivery, Melissa‘s comedy is sort of like that really smooth liquor that is so easy to drink and then hits you like a sledgehammer out of nowhere! Melissa is a nationally touring comedian based in Salem, VA. Melissa brings the same slap your knee enthusiasm to every show, from backyard cookouts, comedy clubs and corporate events, to the big lights and big stages of large theaters! Known for her clean comedy, down-home charm and quick-wit Melissa appeals to fans both young and old. @Comic_MD

Michael Brown, aka Mike B, first felt the nudge toward comedy in his hometown of Norfolk, Virginia where his affection for the art form was nurtured and cultivated. After serving in the United States Army for nine years as a soldier, and receiving various awards for his service and valor Olmike’B decided it was time to launch his comedy career. Mike.B started his matriculation into comedy by hosting shows at various venues throughout the Washington, DC metropolitan area. Due to his friendly and engaging personality he is immediately likable, and his unique, yet earthy and energetic approach to humor led to him opening for acts like Beth Stelling, Dino Archie and Lil Rel Howrey. Mike’s captivating comedy skills lends to him being a perfect fit for the big screen. As a result, he has begun work in this area. He currently possesses an IMBD credit for his role in the short film “A Family Affair”, written and produced by Tommy Taylor, Jr. This film has been a beloved favorite at many film festivals. His other on-screen projects include; The Tommy Taylor Show, Capital Comedy Connection, and DCTV commercial “Anytime Anywhere".
