Event description

Description

Twin Cities PBS and Art Blocks invite you to “Sweet Out Here” – an evening of film with clips from Out North, Sweetness of Wild, and Baptism, open mic, food, biking, and neighborliness at Dreamsland. Bring a blanket or chair, and join us in celebrating the presence and histories of our LGBTQ+ neighbors.

From Twin Cities PBS, Out North: MNLGBTQ History explores the untold past of Minnesota's lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer community and celebrates the strides the state has made since the gay liberation movement began in the 1970s. Meet the filmmaker, Daniel Bergin.

From Free Black Dirt, Sweetness of Wild holds the dimensions of Minneapolis' modern Black Renaissance that is an homage to wildness, blackness, queerness, bike culture, creativity and sweetness.

From Adja Gildersleve, a short film called Baptism.
