Swami Yogeshananda - FREEDOM from worry, sorrow, stress, frustration, etc....
Tue, July 4, 2017, 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM MDT
We are very fortunate to have Yogeshaji visit our city, and equally as fortunate to have the opportunity to learn from him. Yogeshaji is freely offering his time to teach. The funds raised by this event (outside of venue costs) will be donated back to a building project in India. Class will be held in a small venue with limited space. Book early!
This class is on July 4 & 6 from 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM
Yogeshaji entered ashram life in October, 1992 after his career as a Civil Engineer. He took Sanyasa Tiksha (initiation into monkhood) with his Guru, Pujya Swamiji Dayananda Saraswati. He studied Vedanta (Indian philosophy) in Rishikesh from 1992 to 1995. After which time, he came to the ashram Arsha Vidya Gurukulam in Coimbatore, South India. In the ashram, he learned scriptures like Bhagavadgita, Upanisads, Brahmasutra, Meditation, Sanskrit, Puranas, Epics and Bhajans. He also gained some knowledge in the traditional arts such as Ayurveda, astrology, dance and music.
After that intensive study, his teacher sent him to share the knowledge throughout Tamil Nadu, India. In 2003 he took the Sanyasa (Monk) initiation. During that same year, he travelled to Sri Lanka and stayed for two years, sharing his knowledge with the people in Jaffna. In 2005 he took charge of a hostel, taking care of children in Pondicherry, India. Moving forward, Yogeshaji has been only focusing on teaching philosophy. He has been sharing his scriptural knowledge with many people, from all walks of life, for the past 18 years.
