This event is being hosted by the IPE Committee at the FIFSW.

Join us to discuss how social work fits within the context of interprofessional teams and how to navigate some of the challenges of carving out your role as a social worker. We will be hosting Taylor Robertson, who is a social worker at the Hospital for Sick Children and has experience working and collaborating in interprofessional team environments. You will have a chance to ask Taylor questions and learn practical strategies to advocate for yourself and the profession in these environments.

About Taylor Robertson

Taylor Robertson is a registered social worker, who has worked within the Division of Respiratory Medicine at The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids) for five years. Within a multi-disciplinary medical team, Taylor’s role is to complete comprehensive psychosocial assessments and provide ongoing mental health intervention support to children and their families. Taylor has always supported chronic disease populations at SickKids and specializes in exploring and supporting the challenges of chronic caregiving and navigating parent-child relationships and coping through changing developmental stages. Taylor also maintains a private practice providing individual therapy for clients experiencing stress, overwhelm, anxiety, and/or depression. Taylor has previous clinical experience in community mental health treatment for children and youth who have witnessed/experienced trauma, abuse, and neglect.
