Description

Capacity building involves the development of people, systems and resources that keep a nonprofit organization strong and able to sucessfully deliver its programs. A nonprofit with capacity is better able to identify and take advantage opportunities and achieve lasting community impact.

In this session we'll describe the role of capacity building in nonprofits, identify the features of a successful capacity building initiative, explore philosophies around measuring impact of capacity building initiatives.

This session is part of a 5-part series that mirrors some of the best parts of an SVP New Grant Committee Program — without the 6 month commitment! These sessions will mix SVP introductory content, with discussions and presentation on trends in philanthropy abd emerging challenges and opportunities. Session are a la carte and please attend as many as you like and as your schedule allows. Other sessions in this series include:
