Sustainable Sausage and Beer Party

Kick off grill season with an evening of locally made sausage and beer hosted by the Center for Urban Education about Sustainable Agriculture (CUESA). Taste grill-worthy sausages from seven local chefs and sip an assortment of beers paired by members of the San Francisco Brewers Guild. CUESA will host an “Ask the Butcher” booth with Dave “the Butcher” Budworth of Avedano’s and Marina Meats, who’ll be on hand all evening to answer questions about sausage making. Doug Stonebreaker of Prather Ranch Meat Company will be in an “Ask the Rancher” booth to share behind-the-scenes stories form the ranch. Proceeds from this event will go to the CUESA Farmer Scholarship Fund, which is designed to help Ferry Plaza Farmers Market Sellers learn how to make their operations more sustainable.

Your $30 ticket buys one mini sausage from each chef
and a taste of beer from each participating brewery. You must be 21 or over to attend this event.

CUESA manages the Ferry Plaza Farmers Market at the Ferry Building in San Francisco (Saturday 8am-2pm, and Tuesday & Thursday 10am-2pm), and the Jack London Square Farmers Market in Oakland (Sunday 9am-2pm). CUESA’s markets are a certified farmers markets renowned for diverse offerings of high-quality, delicious local products.
