Pavement Smoothness – Highlighting Caltrans’ recent changes to the concrete pavement smoothness specification, we will explore essential tools, techniques, best practices, and design limitations involved in delivering smoother, more sustainable pavements.
Bonded Concrete Overlay on Asphalt (BCOA) – Get up to speed with this new, long-life concrete pavement solution for California. Gain expert knowledge and guidance for designing, specifying, and constructing BCOA pavements with a detailed focus on upcoming Caltrans pilot projects.
Traffic Considerations for Concrete Pavements – In high-traffic urban settings, optimizing your traffic planning skills is essential for success. We will focus on best practices for 55 hour closures – and shorter lane closures - including everything from public outreach to innovative concrete mixes. Learn from real-world examples and recently competed projects in District 8.
Also, a brief overview of many new innovative and sustainable solutions for pavements will be presented.
