This registration is for anyone interested in the Sustainable FloridiansSM Training Program. The next class is scheduled for September 11 through October 30, 2013 at the Extension Office located at 12520 Ulmerton Road, Largo.
The 8-week program will only be held on Wednesday's from 6 pm to 8:30 pm. There are 6 core courses and participants must complete 5 of the 6 core courses to receive a certificate of completion.
The $65 program fee covers the cost of registration, materials, and a light dinner for all of the training sessions. The core modules include: Why Should you Care; Consumerism; Water - Florida's Lifeblood; Food Systems; Energy; and Community Leadership and Engaging Others. Transportation and Land Use will be offered as an elective for the series.
There are only 20 seats available for the next training session. Please reserve your seat in this class by adding your name to the registration list. You will be contacted in August with information about orientation, application details, meals etc. Participants will be required to engage in class preparation activities outside of the regularly scheduled class time.
Sustainable FloridiansSM support Extension faculty and perform volunteer duties in the community by assisting at sustainability events/fairs and educating adults and youth.
