Event description

Description

Whether you plan to be a classroom teacher, non-formal educator, natural resource, nonprofit, or other professional, you may have a role in helping people learn about the environment and their choices. Join experts from the Colorado Alliance for Environmental Education (CAEE) as we explore fundamentals of theory and best practices in environmental education. This engaging half-day workshop will guide students in developing a working knowledge of environmental education goals, approaches, and career opportunities. Small and large group activities will be used to apply new knowledge towards starting a professional portfolio that can eventually be submitted to Colorado's Environmental Educator Certification program.

This mini-workshop with Katie Navin of CAEE is designed for students interested in learning more about the field environmental education. Students completing the workshop will receive a resume building letter of completion, information on further training, and access to a network of environmental education professionals across Colorado.

PLEASE NOTE! This workshop is open to enrolled CU Boulder students only. Enrollment is limited.

Please arrive on time so we can get started and underway promptly.

FREE!

Brought to you by student fees and the CU Environmental Center.
