This workshop will cover the basics of grant writing for the non-profit sector. We will discuss the principles of project planning, budgeting, strategy and successful communication. We will learn about the grant cycle, techniques for identifying compatible funders and read through effective proposals to identify the elements that make for successful grants. Participants will be asked to work in teams for a hands-on activity to develop a proposal.
