Africa has made significant progress in the last couple years, in addressing the systemic challenges of poverty, health and illiteracy. However more people are poorer today than in 1990 and the challenges of inequality remains.
Against this background, the African Centre for a Green Economy is convening a high level policy dialogue to explore some innovative mechanisms to address inequality and poverty alleviation in Africa.
The dialogue will take place on the backdrop of the World Economic Forum (WEF) on Africa in Durban. It will draw in some top leaders from across the continent, that will share insights on how to tackle inequality through transformative leadership, social enterprenuership and the use of big data.
The dialogue is targeted at high level policymakers, business leaders, academia and international development partners.
