Hershey Handbell Ensemble has planned this event picking up the tradition of the former Nittany Valley Festival which ended after running for 26 years. The location is St. Joseph School, 420 E Simpson St, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055. You may unload equipment on Friday evening, March 31 from 7:30-8:30 PM or from 8:00-9:00 AM the morning of the festival.

The St. Joseph School gym will hold about 15-20 choirs so get your registrations in early. Your placement on the ringing floor is based on the date your registrations are post marked or received via email.

Attending choirs may also apply to ring a solo during the festival concert. Those choirs are placed at the front of the ringing floor for greater visibility and ease of hearing the music. This option is only available to a few groups.

The music Sandra Eithun has selected for our festival is fun to play and will be useful for your programming of pieces for the year. The music list can be found on the website.

If you know of other bell choirs in your area, please forward this information to them so that they, also, can attend the festival.

We are looking forward to having you come to the first Susquehanna Valley Handbell Festival.
