Description

This will be the most fun you've had in ages!!! Even people that are "Sushi Virgins" leave the studio amazed by this experience.
This workshop is taught by Executive Chef Gretchen Fayerweather, covers the essentials of preparing, presenting, and preserving sushi and sashimi. It also includes a history of Japanese sushi culinary history and culture. A free tasting of traditional saki & plum wine is also included for those 21 & older.
This workshop is designed to leave you knowing how to recreate three different types of restaurant worthy sushi and sashimi. This course is a hands on class for people with a love of sushi, a big appetite, or anyone that just wants a unique night out. Come alone, or bring a group, for a fun evening of sushi making. This course covers how to make sushi rice and three different types of sushi/sashimi, including veggie and traditional sushi. You'll also learn some Japanese knife skills, while leaving with an authentic sushi mat and complete know-how, to recreate the same fun sushi making environment at home with family and friends.

Cost:
- $85/person... with single registration
- $75/person... with group registrations (that's $10 off per person when you register 2 or more people at once)

Guests are welcome to bring snacks & beverages (alcoholic & non- alcoholic welcome) of their choice.

We have a winery (The Lumberyard) & Craft Beer/Wine (Flatrock Pub) within walking distance of the studio if you want to pick up a locally made spirits before the class!
