Description

First Annual Survivors and Advocates Retreat.

Bringing Together Survivors & Advocates for those involved in High Demand, Predatory Abusive Groups/Relations. Share your stories, get Support, hear different perspectives from those who've been there and those still dealing with involvement or Advocating for someone involved.

Workshop Agenda:

  • Effective Ways to Help Loved Ones Who are Involved in High Control, High Demand Predatory Abusive Groups/Relations & also strategies to help spread effective Awareness & Support.

Workshop Hosted by Intervention 101 & CultNews101's Patrick Ryan and Joseph Kelly.

Face to Face Peer Support: Meet the people Face to Face that you may have come to know online in Support Groups, in a fun filled weekend of Hiking, BBq's, Bon Fires, Tubing, 1/2 day Workshop & Peer to Peer Support. Amoung the diverse backgrounds of attendees, you'll meet Ex-Jehovah's Witnesses, Ex-Scientologists amoung many other Exes from other predatory groups / relations.

A weekend you won't want to miss!

Book Exchange:

Book Drive / Exchange - there will be a station where you can donate a book or books that you’ve read - educational books on mind control, dangerous personalities, biographies, personal survivor stories etc. Donate 1 book - Take 1 book, Donate 2 - Take 2.

Because of the nature of the workshop, space availability and organizing efforts, we are limiting the number of attendees for our first Retreat to 100 - so we can be as attentive as possible to everyone's needs but at the same time provide enough space for a diverse number of people with various backgrounds to participate.

Tickets are $150 per person.

Attendees are responsible for their own travel, lodging, food expenses as well as the tubing fee (approx $10 per person, if you decide to participate in that). Some refreshments and food will be provided at the workshop and BBQ's.

To help make this as affordable as possible for all - we've chosen the location of Townsend, Tn. It is nestled in the middle of the Great Smokey Mountains and is a town full of Campgrounds, Cabins and Hotels. There are many options to share accomodations with your friends and family. We recommend making your accommodation reservations asap as Townsend Tn is quite the vacation destination in the summer months. Grab your RV, go tent camping, rent a large cabin, or a small one - load up your peers or family and come join us for a weekend of growth and healing that you won't forget!
