Event description

Description

Know someone in an abusive relationship? Interested in learning how to help a friend, family member, co-worker or neighbor? Join LSH’s Bilingual Domestic Violence Program for a training about the basics of an abusive relationship, survival strategies, and learn how to help.

Participants will learn about empowerment counseling, safety planning, and resources for survivors. Trainings at Lutheran Settlement House center an anti-oppression lens in which we will explore how all these topics are impacted by race, gender, class, and sexual orientation.

The day will include:

•Interactive Exercises
•Skills Practice
•Networking

And much more!

We are able to offer a sliding scale fee of $15-$25. Please pay what you can and get in touch with us if you have any questions. No one will be turned away do to a lack of funds.

Location information: The training will be at Lutheran Settlement House 1340 Frankford Ave. Our training room is down a short flight of stairs, please contact us if this would prevent you from attending. There is limited parking available in a small lot behind our building. The 25 bus drops off directly outside our door, and the Girard stop on the El is a short walk away.
