Event description

Description

If you've experienced the death of a loved one this year, you may be dreading the holidays and the memories they will stir up. Mixed feelings are normal when you're grieving, especially when the rest of the world seems merry.

This FREE seminar will help you make decisions about what you want to do (or not do) this holiday season and give you coping skills for handling the bittersweet memories.

You'll also have a chance to talk about your grief in small groups with others who are also facing the first holiday without their loved one.

The two-session workshop takes place Tuesdays, 5:30-7 p.m., on Nov. 21 & Dec. 5.

On Nov. 21: You'll consider your traditions and possible changes. On Dec. 5: We'll share how Thanksgiving went and discuss upcoming winter holidays. Note: If you can't come to both programs, please come to just one.

Both programs take place in the conference room at the Cottingham Hospice House (220 Tucker Lane, Seneca). Park in the lot marked Oconee Palliative Medicine; enter through the glass doors next to the outdoor porch. All parking is free and unrestricted.

Questions? Call (864) 882-8940 or contact Eunice Lehmacher, Bereavement Coordinator, at elehmacher@ghs.org.
