Survived and Punished NY Mutual Aid Toolkit Webinar Launch
Event Information
About this event
We are excited to launch Survived and Punished NY Mutual Aid's Fundraising Toolkit! The toolkit and accompanying resources can be found on our website.
At this webinar we will be covering the following:
- Why are mutual aid and prison abolition urgent and necessary in the time of COVID-19?
- How are groups like Survived and Punished NY using funds to facilitate ongoing and rapid response support for incarcerated survivors?
- What are concrete tools for starting grassroots fundraising projects with your own networks?
If you want to participate please RSVP now! Access is free and limited to the first 100 participants. A suggested donation of $5, $10, $20, or whatever you are able to give is appreciated.
We will be asking folks to participate in breakout activities and Q&A in the later part of the webinar. The webinar will include a brief introduction about what the S&P NY Mutual Aid Group has been doing, some lessons we’ve gained from our work, followed by a breakout session/share out, and ending with a Q&A.
This webinar emerges from our ongoing mutual aid work. Please consider making a donation to our summer fundraiser here or at checkout. All of the ticket proceeds will go to the fundraiser as well.
ACCESS NOTES: This webinar will not be recorded. We are working on securing either a transcription service or ASL interpreter. Please reach out to SPNYmutualaid@gmail.com if you have concerns or access needs.
