Join us on Thursday, May 18th for our Speaker Series with Maresa Thompson.
Working in-house presents particular challenges for marketing and creative professionals. Often you are a department of one or very few with an enormous amount of tasks and responsibilities. Juggling different priorities, deadlines, and personalities can be overwhelming. She will encourage you to fly your freak flag because you think differently than your colleagues. She recommends you find partner vendors and associations (like AAF) that help you expand your horizons and grow with other creatives.
Maresa spent 20+ years as an in-house creative and marketing professional and will share some hard-won lessons on how to survive and thrive in the high-pressure boundary-breaking environment that is often in-house.
THIS EVENT IS FOR YOU IF:
You are an in-house marketing/creative professional or you are on the agency/media side that works with in-house folks. This presentation will give you insights into how to be a great partner to your clients.
Registration Ends May 11, 2023. Limited Seats Available.
ABOUT OUR SPEAKER
Maresa Thompson is creative at heart, combined with a Type A+ Capricorn personality. This means she’s passionate about creating and implementing data-driven websites, marketing, and strategic plans with streamlined budgets focused on achieving high ROI. She’s an award-winning marketing, digital strategy, communications, and creative, strategic leader with 25 years of experience.
She’s consecutively produced significant revenue and customer engagement growth. In 2020, after getting and losing her dream job as VP of Marketing for a hospitality consulting firm, thanks to COVID, she transformed her side gig into her only gig and is now helping small businesses and non-profits develop data-informed websites, marketing, and advertising. She is formerly known as the Corporate Cowgirl and, in some circles, the Social Tornado.
Maresa’s passions include alternative healing and self-exploration through hiking, yoga, mindfulness, holotropic breathwork, acupuncture, qi gong, and ecstatic dance. Her artistic pursuits include sculptural welding, land art, slam poetry, and Magic Wish Cards.
