Surfside's Third Thursday’s Block Party

Enter a new season of Surfside’s staple celebration. This approaching new year, the Third Thursday’s block party will entice tourists, visitors and locals alike to experience the best the Town of Surfside offers. Located at 9500 Collins Avenue, an array of cultural experiences will entertain people of all generations.

The Surfside Tourist Board is excited to announce the lineup for the 14th annual Surfside’s Third Thursdays block party. Each Thursday evening will feature local culinary vendors, a kid's entertainment and game pavilion, an adult activation center, a food pavilion, live musical acts, beach furniture, natural foliage décor and street ambient lighting ensuring a memorable and immersive experience.

Each night will transport guests through a series of international activations that will highlight the selections of the Harding Avenue business district and showcase the best that Surfside has to offer.

Guests of all ages can choose to participate in the activities or simply relax in the outdoor living room concept, enjoying the monthly curated performers.

• Kicking off the opening night of the season on Jan. 19, Third Thursday presents Tropical Island Vibe. Prom to the rhythm of the popular Steel Drum Band with a tropical dance performance group. Guests are invited to enjoy smooth tropical island grooves under the stars.

• On Feb. 16, bring your sweetheart to Luau Night. Third Thursday presents a cultural evening bringing the sounds of Hawaii to Surfside. Music by an authentic Polynesian band and featured performances with Polynesian dancers displaying the different dance styles from each Hawaiian region. A surprise and energetic Fire Dancer will mesmerize guests to close out the enactment.

• Welcome spring on March 16 with Latin Music Cultural Festival. The night will be enjoyed with a Salsa band concert and Mariachis. It will be an enthusiastic Latin fusion evening where visitors will swing to popular salsa and merengue classics. Salsa dancers will be present for a salsa show and guests will have the opportunity to learn the basic salsa steps.

• Closing out the 2023 season on April 20 will be Roll Around the Decades. Third Thursday roller rink delivers a fun family environment activity. Come dressed up in your favorite decade and spin around while the DJ plays tunes from the ’70s, ’80s, 90’s and today. An activity zone will be sectioned off providing a reserved place to allow participants to freely skate in the area. Safety gear is required to enter the designated skating location.
