Event description

Description

Join Louisa Rosager and Melissa Clark for a series of workshops created to help you establish a connection between your unconscious and conscious mind, and ultimately bring greater depth to your creative work.

Each class utilizes your dreams (yes, the ones you have while you are sleeping) as a porthole to your unconscious, as we creatively integrate the bounty that inevitably arises.

The unconscious can be equated to a storehouse of psychological material. Dreams inadvertently tap into this storehouse and every dream operates on three different levels: the personal, the cultural and the archetypal. Not only does the dream reveal what is going on in the individual dreamer’s psychological landscape, it also taps into much larger cultural and universal themes. Additionally, the four pillars of dream work (place, character, dynamics, and end) directly link to narrative structure (setting, character, plot, resolution), allowing the dream work to naturally apply to creative works and storytelling.

The Feb 24 class will focus on plot. The March 24 class will focus on character and the April 21 class will focus on settings. This series will be held in the Los Angeles area. Whether you are a writer, actor, dancer, poet, entrepreneur, creator, artist, storyteller, or dreamer of any kind, this class provides tools for tapping into the vast well of the human experience. The course will help you develop the kind of varied skill set any artist needs to create meaningful art that resonates with the largest possible audience.
