Supporting Resilience through Mind-Body PracticesThis presentation will include a short discussion of how chronic stress and overwhelm can impact our bodies and minds. We will play with mind-body techniques that help process stress and explore a short practice to create more space and ease within.
Featured Presenter: Kyra Haglund, LCSW, SEP, E-RYTKyra Haglund, LCSW, SEP, E-RYT is a clinical social worker, Somatic Experiencing practitioner, yoga teacher based in Los Angeles. She lived and studied holistic arts and cultural anthropology extensively in India and Nepal. She then completed her graduate studies in social work from the University of Southern California focusing on mental health and somatic-based trauma resolution. Kyra is also a co-creator of the Collective Resilience trauma informed yoga training program. She takes an integrative approach to therapy and social justice work, blending traditional psychotherapy, holistic arts, and somatic tools to support greater self-regulation and well-being. She currently practices individual and group therapy, teaches yoga, trains facilitators from all over the world in trauma informed yoga, and lives in Los Angeles with her family.
