Event description

Description

Rev. Dr. Carla Cheatham presents the Supporting Professional Caregivers Workshop. The workshop consists of two sessions: Interventions with Patients and Families Experiencing Grief, Conflict, and Anger; and Ethical Boundaries and Cultural Humility: Increasing Professional Competence and Personal Health in Caregiving.

Interventions with Patients and Families Experiencing Grief, Conflict, and Anger - the presentation supports professionals in being more comfortable with such interactions by exploring our comfort levels with anger and conflict, pitfalls to avoid, and methods of maintaining boundaries while also providing constructive support to the needs being expressed.

Ethical Boundaries and Cultural Humility - the presentation provides a unique take on healthy ethical boundaries and the provision of values-neutral care that participants will be able to implement immediately to improve their practice and ease the strain of their work.
