The Supported Decision Making workshop will introduce a model for supported decision making and provide an opportunity to explore some of the skills and considerations when working with someone’s expressed wishes rather than from a best interest perspective. We will examine some of the different types of support that people may find helpful when making decisions and what Supporters need to watch out for to ensure that they are not inadvertently disempowering people.
