Description

On April 8, 2019, Second Amendment Activist Richard Hubbard was arrested by Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, Police. The police were called about an armed man in the Park. It is NOT illegal to carry a pistol in Neinhuis Park. Hubbard reportedly was carrying an AR15 pistol, which may look like a rifle to people who are not knowledgeable about firearms. It was slung over his back. Rick has done many of these in various Oklahoma cities in which he was detained, then let go once officers confirmed the AR15 was a pistol and not an SBR.

On June 1, there is a rally in support of Rick and in protest against Broken Arrow PD in order to encourage them to drop all charges against Rick. Open Carry Texas will be chartering at least one van and will add another if there is more interest. The van will leave from the UPS parking lot on the southeast corner of South Loop 363 and I-35, across the highway from the McDonalds. Van will leave at 2am and return as soon as the rally is over. We will make one stop along the route at Best Buy at

Open carry of rifles in Oklahoma is not legal, but AR pistols and other handguns are legal to carry. Oklahoma does require a license to carry, but the Texas license to carry is a recognized as is Virginia, Utah, and Arizona.
