Hear from Kelsey Koenig of Impact Partners, a New York-based fund dedicated to supporting powerful social issue documentary films.

About this Event

Impact Partners is dedicated to funding independent documentary storytelling that entertains audiences, engages with pressing social issues, and propels the art of cinema forward. From films like American Promise, to The Feeling of Being Watched, to The Hunting Ground, to The Apollo and many more, they have helped important docs get made.

Hear from Kelsey Koenig, the Senior Director of Development at Impact Partners about what resources they offer filmmakers,her insight on the doc field today, and in particular Impact Partners' Documentary Producers Fellowship program. Kelsey Koenig

Kelsey has worked in independent documentary for a decade, and is currently the Senior Director of Development at Impact Partners, a New York-based fund dedicated to supporting powerful documentary films that address pressing social issues. At Impact Partners, Kelsey reviews potential projects to finance, provides creative and strategic support for films, and represents the fund at festivals and markets around the world. Since joining Impact Partners in 2012, she has been involved with the financing and development of over 50 projects (recent titles include: BISBEE '17, DINA, THE FOURTH ESTATE, ICARUS, OF FATHERS AND SONS and WON'T YOU BE MY NEIGHBOR?) and has spoken on panels about funding, distribution and impact at workshops and other industry events. Outside of her work at Impact Partners, Kelsey was Associate Producer on THE SEVENTH FIRE (Berlinale '15), Assistant Editor on KNUCKLEBALL! (Tribeca '12), and worked in the acquisitions department at Sony Pictures Classics.
