Event description

Description

Supply Chain Strategy: Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) allows companies to account financially for each activity along the supply chain including costs associated with the acquisition of materials, transportation, storage and the selling of purchased goods and services. The goal is to equip companies to make strategic sourcing decisions.

The TCO calculator, a key tool available to participants of the program, facilitates side-by-side comparison of suppliers, analyzing multiple sourcing possibilities on a global scale. TCO helps minimize total costs while maximizing value to the customer.

The Supply Chain Strategy: Total Cost of Ownership is offered to businesses at no cost through the Heart Project. Lunch and all materials will be provided to attendees.

Who Should Attend:

  • Supply chain managers

  • Program Managers

  • Plant managers

  • Chief executives

  • Business Owners

Two participants per business are suggested and covered by the Heart Project. Priority given to coal related companies. Space is limited to 16 participants at this event. Bring a laptop to use for calculator. A limited supply of Chromebooks will be available to borrow during the event.

What will you gain by attending: You will understand TCO terms and concepts, learn to measure TCO costs, and how to use the TCO calculator so that you can make sound sourcing decisions based on analysis of Total Cost of Ownership factors and achieve overall supply chain strategic objectives.
