About this event
Presented by the Innovative Finance Project: a collaboration between Blueprint Local and Drexel University’s Nowak Metro Finance Lab and funded by the U.S. Economic Development Administration.
Join us as we host Aunnie Patton Power, author of Adventure Finance, and Bruce Katz, Founding Director of the Nowak Metro Finance Lab for a discussion focused on Supply Chain Finance, an underutilized and emerging tool for supporting entrepreneurs. As local and national leaders look to strengthen supply chains and support local, diverse contracting, Supply Chain Financing offers a tool for diverse entrepreneurs to maintain critical cashflow and grow their business.
This session will cover the basics and history of Supply Chain Finance, current applications and examples of SCF products, and finally SCF innovations and interventions. We will highlight steps that leaders can take to utilize new technology and pathbreaking methods for anchor institutions, both public and private, to advance supplier diversity and support historically excluded entrepreneurs.
