A multi-discipline workout that combines, strength, endurance, stability, and cardio!
Join Julie, a 17 year veteran of group fitness, as she combines her love of fitness and well-being with her passion of stand-up paddle boarding!
This will be a full hour and full body workout that all levels and genders can enjoy! Yes, this one is also open to the fellas! Board use, leash and PFD is included but there is a BYOBoard ticket reduction. You must bring your own PFD (personal floatation device) and leash for your board if choosing the BYOB option;.
The inflatable boards provided will offer plenty of stability to get into the workout routine.
Meet at the boat launch/marsh area of Metro beach. This event does not cover park passes or admission. Arrive 15 minutes early!
***Registration is non-refundable, but will be transferred to another evening in the event of inclement weather.

About the organizer
BIO:
Julie Miller, MA, LPC is a licensed counselor, an athlete and an all around promoter of women's health and empowerment. She has 16 years experience in the fitness industry, providing group fitness instruction at Lifetime Fitness and also has worked for 25 yrs in education, with 22 of those years as a counselor.
She fell in love with the water and watersports at a very young age-- think waterskiing on her dad's shoulder at the age of 4! She continued to grow her love of watersports from water-skiing into surf, SUP, kayaking, and foil boarding. In the past 10 years, paddle boarding has expanded greatly as a passion for her as she continued into the world of racing, SUP surfing and SUP yoga. Recently, she became a brand ambassador of SIC Maui boards and loves the community and comradery that company and brand brings to her life!
Over the years, Julie continued to engage more and build more in the area of girl's and women's empowerment in her counseling practice and personally. In her own journey, Julie found that in launching herself into her wildest dreams of travel and adventure, and pushing herself outside of her comfort zone, that her own self love and confidence grew more immediately than other means or methods. As she began to share her passion and adventure with friends, she saw that this also translated and happened with others. So she dreamed of expanding this concept to a platform to help other women learn, grow, love and support themselves and one another in the process.
It's easy to see that the passion held for fitness, wellness, education and personal growth has led her to pursue sharing her love in a fusion format called UPLIFT! In winter 2020, Julie launched Uplift Adventure Retreats and she has many exciting ideas and projects on the horizon.
