You are cordially invited to join us for a series of monthly meetings designed to provide supervisors of school psychologists with a range of timely topics in instruction and operations. Among the instructional topics we are planning are presentations on diagnostic-prescriptive models of and tools for assessment, response to intervention (RtI) models and protocols, the various facets of literacy including a deep dive into the five pillars of reading and interesting new research on methods for writing, embedded intervention tools within mathematics programs, ways to bring struggling students into the world of the Common Core Standards, efficient universal design tools and protocols for their use, case study management and much more. On the operations side, we will provide time at each meeting for the full range of operations topics needed to support schools in their support of our special education students. All of these meetings have as their focus the provision of support and capacity building in the important expertise that school psychologists provide in the schools they serve.
Note that our meetings this year will take place at 333 Seventh Avenue in Manhattan, closest to the 28th Street station on the 1 train. Breakfast will be served at each meeting.
Please direct any questions you have to Dr. Esther Klein Friedman at firstname.lastname@example.org.
We are pleased to provide you with this opportunity to collaborate with your colleagues and look forward to seeing you.
