About this Event

Congratulations! You are a supervisor! You have demonstrated your talent and success in your job and now are going to oversee others’ work. This is great, but how do you make that transition?

By the end of this workshop you will be able to:

  • Understand the key difference between management and leadership
  • Access new tools for effective supervisor-supervisee communication
  • Give feedback without fear! Learn how to set clear expectations and deliver feedback in a way that is positive for all
  • Delegate effectively and hold people accountable
  • Employ strategies for priority setting and problem solving to help your team move forward towards more productive work

Who should attend? This course is specifically designed for supervisors and team managers of nonprofit organizations who want tools and guidance for feedback, delegation, and accountability.

The fee for the course includes:

  • A one-day interactive training, team discussion, and activities
  • A take away workout for future use and reference
  • Guidance from subject matter experts during the session
  • A healthy lunch, as well as snacks and drinks throughout the day, to keep you energized

FACILITATOR

Robin LLewelynn is an experienced talent development and human resources professional with a background in leadership development and employee training.

Prior to working at Mission Capital, Robin owned and operated RLL Consulting, a talent development and management consulting firm. She also served as Senior Director of Talent and Development at Goodwill Central Texas. Robin holds a BFA from the University of Texas, an MFA from Florida State University, and utilizes her theater arts background to facilitate interactive trainings which focus on learning through “play.” Robin is TTI Success Insights DISC and TTI Success Insights Driving Forces certified. She uses these certifications to develop opportunities for professional development and personal growth.

Robin resides in Cedar Park, Texas where her son and daughter-in-law allow her to be the best playmate to their amazing son, Jax. In her spare time, she enjoys creating art by up-cycling glass and plastic.

Accommodations

Mission Capital has a strong commitment to making our services accessible to individuals with special needs and disabilities. Two weeks’ notice will allow us to provide seamless access.

Refunds

All cancellation and refund requests must be received in writing no later than two weeks prior to the Learning & Leadership offering. No refunds will be processed within 2 weeks of the event date. You may also transfer a registration to another staff member, board member, or volunteer with the approval of Mission Capital. All transfer requests must be received in writing no later than one week prior to the event date. Note: all refunds are subject to a $50 administrative fee that will be deducted from the amount originally paid.
