Babies don't care if you're a lawyer. And unfortunately, some of your clients and all of your deadlines don't care if you're a mom.
On the bright side, at some point your kids might develop some appreciation for your profession. Until that happens, simultaneously fulfilling two demanding roles won't be easy. But there will be help.
We designed our newest group to help you manage the practical and emotional challenges you face as a mother practicing law. LCL's Heidi Alexander, Esq. and Barbara Bowe, LICSW are fusing the forces of practice management services with psychology to offer comprehensive guidance, along with the support of the Women's Bar Association's Mothers' Forum.
You’ll even leave with a few tools of your own for handling some of the common challenges we face as working moms.
This is a free and confidential group. Meetings will be held twice each month, on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays. (You only need to register once.) You can attend at our office in downtown Boston or online. We will meet for 60 minutes, beginning promptly at noon, but completely understand if you need to come in late - you're a mom AND an attorney!
