Get behind the wheel the worlds most exciting supercars including the Ferraris, Lamborghinis, GTR's and more for laps around a professionally-designed autocross track with a focus on speed, and exploring what these amazing machines are all about. You will have an intructor in the passenger seat giving you pointers on how to get the most out of your experience. All vehicles have automatic, or F1-style transmissions with paddle shifters, so no stick-shift experience is required! If you're at least 18 years of age and have a drivers' license, you can easily drive one of these high-performance machines in a day that all of your family and friends will envy forever. Not 18 yet or without a license? You can still experience these cars in a ride-along experience where you will ride in the passenger seat while an instructor takes you around the course for some hot laps!
Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?
All participents must be 18 years of age and possess a valid drivers' license to get behind the wheel. However, participants under age 18 or without a driver's license can still take part in an instructor-driven ride-along experience.
Can I drive more than one car?
Each voucher is good for one car unless stated otherwise. You may purchase additional laps and vouchers on event-day at a discounted rate if you'd like some more time in the cars, or want to try some different ones.
What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?
Our Wells Fargo Center location has plenty of free parking for all participants.
Does the purchase price include all fees and taxes?
Yes, the purchase price of all packages includes all fees. Driving experiences themselves are not a taxable item in any state. If you cannot show proof of the required insurance (See the Event Scheduling page of our website for more information), a policy must be purchased at the event. The policy at the event is $40 and covers up to $10,000 in damage with a zero deductible; and covers the participant for the entire event day.
Should I bring any money with me?
Aside from the insurance stated above; we will have t-shirts, hats, and other apparel available for sale at the event. This is a great way to show-off your experience to everybody! If you'd like more laps in the car, or would like to drive another car, you may purchase additional event vouchers on-site at a discounted rate. We accept cash and credit/debit cards for all laps, insurance, and apparel at the event.
What can/can't I bring to the event?
Bring your friends, family, and a smile! Please do not bring pets.
What should I wear to my event?
Please wear comfortable clothes and closed-toe shoes. Driving with flip-flops is not allowed, nor is driving barefoot.
Can my friends/family take photos or video of my experience?
Due to insurance reasons, only the participant is allowed past the gates to the vehicle area. We offer professional photos for $15, which are available to you via download on our website following the event. The photographer will take numerous photos of the car itself, of you in front of the car, and of you inside of the car. We also offer in-car HD video of your entire experience for $30. If you purchase the photo & video package, it is $40 combined.
Where do I go once I arrive at the venue?
When you arrive at the venue, follow the signs to the Velocity Driving Experience. When you park in the designated parking area, please walk up to the reservation window at our event trailer. Our registration staff will assist you from there.
Where can I contact the organizer with any questions?
Any questions can be answered by calling us at 631-488-0952 during office hours (Monday-Thursday 10am-5pm EST), or by emailing us at Info@VelocityDriving.com.
Is my registration/ticket transferrable?
Yes, as long as the participant brings the unique voucher with them that was emailed when scheduling their event. You do not need to contact us ahead of time with name changes.
Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
Yes, you will need to bring your email confirmation to the event. This can either be printed, or on a smartphone.
What is the refund policy?
A refund may only be collected within 24 hours of your purchase. No refunds permitted on day of event. Once event date is scheduled, the voucher may not be exchanged or redeemed for any other dates. If an event is cancelled or postponed due to weather or other unforseen circumstances, you will be allowed to choose another date. No refunds alliowed for Groupon, Living Social, Rush 49, or other daily-deal type vouchers.
What if it rains on my event day?
Our events are never cancelled, postponed, or rescheduled due to rain. These are rain or shine events.
The name on the registration/ticket doesn't match the attendee. Is that okay?
The driving vouchers are fully transferrable. As long as the new attendee has your email confirmation with them, they can take your spot.
Will all of these vehicles be available on the day of my event?
While we do try to bring all cars to all events, they are exotic cars, and can sometimes be unreliable. If a vehicle is unable to be at the event, we guarantee that at least 4 cars will be.
